Nonprofit Feature: Survivors Hope

Survicer's Hope was one of the nonprofit organizations that was in consideration for an IMPACT Grant.  Though they were not the recipient of the November Grant Cycle, our grant committee was very impressed by their organization, their mission, and how much IMPACT they are clearly having on the community they serve.

What is your Mission Statement? Survivors HOPE is a survivor-led organization committed to the empowerment of survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

We are a survivor-centered and gender-specific community-based nonprofit located in South Florida. We are mission-driven to provide mentoring to survivors of commercial sexual exploitation. As the saying goes, one can never have too many mentors, we are mentor-driven in linking survivors to resources to thrive!

Who do you serve? What IMPACT are you making in your community? Survivors HOPE provides services at-promise girls and young women in high-need communities. We provide linkages to wrap-around mentoring services that help survivors of commercial sexual exploitation sustain their recovery.
How can people who are interested help your organization? We are seeking mentors in South Florida who are located in Broward and Miami-Dade County, that are willing to dedicate their expertise to empower and encourage survivors of human trafficking.

We are also seeking financial donations to make our goals of recovery and uplifting survivors possible!

Anything else you would like to share? Survivors HOPE was created and organized by a survivor of human trafficking. Daniela Deas was recruited and sexually exploited at the age of 12, empowered by her journey, Daniela utilizes her experiences to provide mentoring to at-promise youth and provide awareness of commercial sexual exploitation.

Thank you for everything you are doing to raise awareness and help victims of Human Trafficking.
