Each quarter, our team reviews applications submitted through our Impact Grants Program, where nonprofits from across the United States and Canada share their missions, challenges, and the incredible work they are doing in their communities. While only a limited number of organizations receive grant awards each cycle, many more leave a lasting impression on our grant review committee.

Our Weekly Nonprofit Feature was created to ensure that more of these deserving organizations receive meaningful support, increased visibility, and community recognition. Each selected nonprofit will receive a $300 donation from Impact Funding Solutions, along with a featured blog post on our website, inclusion in our weekly “Impact for Good” newsletter, and promotion across our social media platforms to help amplify their mission and inspire others to get involved.

We know that awareness creates opportunity. Increased visibility can lead to new donors, volunteers, partnerships, and long-term sustainability. By sharing these stories, we hope to help nonprofit leaders connect with the people who care deeply about the causes they champion.

Our grant review team was deeply moved by the mission and heart behind Angel Heart Pajama Project. Their work reminds us that sometimes the most powerful acts of giving are also the simplest. For children experiencing foster care, homelessness, emergency shelter placement, or family crisis, receiving a new pair of pajamas and a bedtime book is far more than a gift. It is comfort, dignity, safety, and the reassurance that someone cares. Angel Heart Pajama Project understands that healing often begins in the smallest moments, and by creating calm, stability, and connection during bedtime, they are helping thousands of children across Southern Arizona feel seen, valued, and supported during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. What is your Mission Statement? Angel Heart Pajama Project provides new pajamas and books to children in crisis across Southern Arizona, delivering comfort, dignity, and emotional support while promoting healthy sleep routines and early literacy for youth experiencing foster care, homelessness, and other traumatic circumstances.
Who do you serve? What IMPACT are you making in your community? Angel Heart Pajama Project aims to serve 7,000 children annually across Southern Arizona, from infants to age 18. We focus on youth in crisis, including those who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, are living in foster care, experiencing homelessness, or residing in emergency and transitional shelters. These children often face significant instability and trauma that disrupts their sense of safety, routine, and emotional well-being.

Our impact begins with something simple but powerful: providing new pajamas and books. Each package delivers more than basic necessities—it offers comfort, dignity, and a sense of belonging during times of uncertainty. By helping establish consistent bedtime routines, we support emotional stability and create a calming, predictable environment that is essential for children experiencing trauma.

One foster care caseworker recently shared that a young child entering placement after a crisis refused to change into anything new or accept comfort items. After receiving an Angel Heart Pajama Project package, the child chose the pajamas immediately and insisted on sleeping in them that night while reading the included book with their caregiver. The caseworker noted it was the first moment of calm the child had experienced since removal—an early step toward trust and emotional stability in a new environment.

In addition to immediate comfort, our work promotes early literacy and strengthens caregiver-child connections through shared reading. This combined approach addresses both emotional and developmental needs, helping children build resilience and supporting healthier long-term outcomes.
